Michelle Whitney serves as a Primary Counselor at Cameron Ridge Treatment, bringing with her a powerful combination of lived experience, clinical training, and a deep commitment to person-centered care. Her background includes work as both a Peer Support Specialist and a counselor in crisis intervention and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) settings, where she has helped individuals navigate some of the most challenging points in their recovery journeys.

Michelle holds certifications in Mindfulness-Based Practices, Integrative Behavioral Healthcare, Forensic Peer Support, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which allow her to take a trauma-informed, holistic approach to supporting clients. She is currently pursuing a degree in Human Services Technology – Addiction and Recovery Services at Western Piedmont Community College, demonstrating her ongoing dedication to growth and learning.

Grounded in her personal recovery and inspired by her faith and family, Michelle believes in the healing power of connection. She brings compassion, resilience, and authenticity to her role at Cameron Ridge, helping others find strength, hope, and direction in their own recovery journeys.
