Fresh Start Farm is a therapeutic agricultural initiative rooted in the heart of recovery. Designed and operated by Wilkes Recovery Revolution, Inc., the program offers individuals in early recovery meaningful employment, job training, and the opportunity to reconnect with purpose through hands-on work in sustainable farming.
This workforce development program provides more than just a paycheck—it offers a path forward. Participants grow seasonal produce that supplies our Wilkes Fresh Mobile Market, increasing access to fresh food in rural communities while gaining valuable experience in agriculture, teamwork, and responsibility.
Fresh Start Farm also serves as a safe and supportive environment where individuals in recovery can build confidence, earn certifications, and gain the stability necessary to take the next steps in their personal and professional lives. The program embodies our commitment to addressing the social determinants of health by bridging the gap between recovery and opportunity—one harvest at a time.
