Recovery-Friendly NC
Recovery Friendly NC is a statewide initiative that helps employers and community partners create supportive spaces for individuals in or seeking recovery. By equipping workplaces with tools, training, and resources, we reduce stigma and promote recovery-positive environments that prioritize wellness, inclusion, and hope. This initiative strengthens the workforce while uplifting individuals and families impacted by substance use and mental health challenges.
Survey for Employers
We are asking you to participate in our statewide Recovery-Friendly Workplace Survey for Employers. The survey is a tool that helps us understand how your organization (the employer) handles substance use and mental health issues. When you participate in the survey, you are helping make things better at your organization and helping us make North Carolina workplaces more recovery-friendly.
Your answers will help us figure out how to train and help organizations create recovery-friendly workplaces. The hope is that with increased understanding, organizations will be more likely to take the journey to support employees in recovery and consider qualified individuals in recovery when job openings are available.

Participation will be beneficial for your organization, and the data will be de-identified so that participating organizations can compare their responses to the aggregate. Furthermore, we would like to clarify that we are not selling the data nor sharing responses with any other organization. If you wish to compare your organization with other organizations that have also submitted the survey, a summary of survey results will be shared with you upon request.
