Our
Story

Founded in 2016 and based in Wilkes County, North Carolina, WRR offers a range of programs, including harm reduction services, transitional housing, workforce development, and peer support, that are grounded in lived experience and designed to restore hope, repair lives, and rebuild community. With over 50% of its staff and volunteers in recovery themselves, WRR embodies a compassionate, grassroots approach to healing and empowerment.

Meet Our Team

Devin Lyall

Executive Director

Returning to Wilkes in 2014 after seeking recovery support elsewhere, Devin founded Wilkes Recovery Revolution (WRR). WRR offers transitional housing and eight programs including harm reduction, a recovery center, job training, a farm, a mobile market, a thrift store, and crisis support. WRR provides housing, syringe exchange, naloxone, wellness resources, job services, dental aid, transport, crisis help, a work program, and outreach. Devin received the Great State Hero Award and Chairman’s Award. She serves on multiple substance use and peer support councils. WRR's work has been featured in several news outlets. Devin enjoys time with family, community, and her dogs.

Jeff “Walker”

Programs Manager

Jeff Walker, in long-term recovery, avoids drugs/alcohol. As a formerly incarcerated individual, he leverages his experiences to help others as Programs Director at Wilkes Recovery Revolution, Inc., overseeing 7 programs. A certified peer support specialist and recovery coach, he facilitates various trainings and will soon be a forensic peer support trainer. He supports incarcerated individuals and re-entry services. Actively involved in numerous peer initiatives, Jeff is a father, dog-lover, and outdoorsman. He champions connection and lived experience, often encouraging others to "Live your best life," a testament to his own recovery.

Amanda Hooper

Operations Director

Caldwell County native Amanda found recovery in North Wilkesboro after leaving home for support. She completed treatment, then joined Wilkes Recovery Revolution, first as Female House Manager for Phases transitional housing, now as Operations Director. A Certified Peer Support Specialist, Recovery Coach, and Community Health Worker pursuing further certifications and a Psychology BA, Amanda now lives in North Wilkesboro with her family, committed to radical love and judgement-free support.

Tiffany Mack

Tiffany is a person in recovery from substance use and a New Jersey native. Tiffany is also a veteran of the United States Air Force. When she began her journey in recovery, she enjoyed volunteering her time at Wilkes Recovery Revolution, which led to her now being an employee. Tiffany is dedicated to using her story of overcoming addiction and finding a new way of life to inspire others, to help build a strong community and to be a living example for her children. Tiffany lives life with a heart of gratitude, is thankful to recovery for saving her life and giving her purpose.
