THE WHY?
Our Thrift Store serves as a work and volunteer program that involves and is run by those in recovery, peer support specialist and recovery allies. The store offers crisis assistance for individuals who are preparing for interviews, reintegrating into society, transitioning into housing, reunifying families structure, or recovering from trauma. This program also serves as a way to build program revenue to support individuals in recovery. We offer meaningful work that aids to build workforce skills and empower individuals to be productive members of their community and society as a whole. The participation of volunteers serves as a way to involve members of the community in order to become a part of the recovery movement and support those in recovery.
