Wilkes Recovery Revolution, INC. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and an accredited Recovery Community Organization (RCO). This standing designates that we are a grassroots effort organization committed to advocacy activities and community building within the recovery population. We are the first accredited RCO in Wilkes County and have earned our status through Faces and Voices of Recovery based in Washington, D.C. This accreditation also represents a commitment to being peer-run, which means that more than 50% of our staff, board, and volunteers have lived experience with recovery from substance use or mental health concerns.
Through the wisdom of lived experience Wilkes Recovery Revolution, Inc. is creating a community where recovery from addiction is possible through; Restoring Hope, Repairing Lives, and Rebuilding Community.
To create a community where recovery from addiction is expected and supported for all individuals.
Recovery from addiction and mental illness is not only possible, but with support, opportunities, community, and education, recovery for all can be a reality.
Collaboration and partnerships within a recovery community organization can produce more viable solutions for individuals which in return becomes a catalyst of social change and strength in communities.
Individuals and providers benefit from the perspective and knowledge that can only be obtained from those with lived experience in recovery and by employing the evidence based practices of peer support.
Free Walk-In Center serving as an immediate support and resource HUB.
Offering 3 Transitional Housing Facilities separately serving both males and females.
Education and Workforce Development Supportive Services. Offering free upskilling, we cover certification courses and help link individuals with meaningful and gainful work.
Recovery Friendly NC is a Recovery Friendly Workplace initiative that allows employers to receive designation which includes supportive services, free training, and employer assistance.
Therapeutic Farming Program for individuals in recovery. This program offers employment where individuals make a living wage while also receiving integrated certifications and the benefits of working in the dirt. Fresh Start Farm will produce fresh fruits and vegetables to supply Wilkes Fresh Mobile Market to offer healthy food for individuals who otherwise wouldn't have access.
Provides fresh fruits and vegetables to our community. It is operated by individuals in recovery. who make at least a living wage.
Reducing harm for people who use drugs. Offering Syringe Exchange Program and Overdose Kits at no charge to the community.
Offering Crisis Assistance Vouchers to individuals with a need. Operated by individuals in recovery making a living wage.
